Synergy Rheumatology and Wellness is a physician-owned, physician-led rheumatology practice on the coast in Carlsbad, North County San Diego. There are no outside investors and no administrators between you and your patients. The physicians who see the patients decide how it runs, and every physician here has a voice in that, employed or partner. New-patient demand outpaces what one physician can see, so you start with a full referral stream instead of building one from scratch.

A TYPICAL WEEK
Four clinic days, about 17 patients a day once your panel matures: roughly 7 hours with patients, with time built in to finish notes before you go home
One weekday off, plus weekends. No hospital rounds, no inpatient call; after-hours phone coverage is shared
A schedule that bends when life does. As long as your patients are cared for, rescheduled or covered, you can move a clinic day for a family need, a school event or a breather. We are lifestyle first.

WHAT YOU'D BE JOINING
An infusion suite you share in: buy-and-bill infusions (infliximab, Simponi Aria, Cosentyx IV, Saphnelo, Krystexxa and more), expanding to about six chairs. Physicians share in infusion margin which most employed positions don't include
Ultrasound autonomy: diagnostic and needle-guided musculoskeletal ultrasound in the office, as much as your practice calls for
Room to practice at the edge of the field: among the first practices in San Diego County managing patients after vagus nerve stimulation implants for RA (SetPoint), plus a partnered research site in our suite
Strong networks: part of UC San Diego Health's Clinically Integrated Network, in-network with Medicare, the major PPOs and three regional IPAs

LESS ADMIN THAN YOU'D EXPECT

Prior authorizations handled by a dedicated clinical care coordinator and in-house automation
A dedicated MA who handles callbacks, refills under your rules, and forms
A remote support team for scheduling, billing and authorizations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Guaranteed base in year one, then production-based pay plus a share of infusion margin
Expected $275,000–$350,000+ at four days a week on a moderate schedule. Want to see more patients? Your pay rises with it
Your infusion share grows as the infusion program expands, including to other specialties
A partnership opportunity, including ownership as the practice grows to a second site
Health insurance, 401(k), malpractice coverage, an annual CME allowance, and your medical license and DEA fees paid
