Description
The University of New Mexico, Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible faculty member to join the Division of Rheumatology. The Division of Rheumatology actively participates in teaching of medical students, residents in multiple specialties, and a fellowship program. This position is an open rank and Clinician Educator track. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and education.
Minimum Qualifications: 1) must be board certified in Internal Medicine; 2) must be board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology within 6 months of hire; 3) successful completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship by date of hire; 4) must be eligible to work in US; and 5) must be eligible for a medical license in the State of New Mexico. Preferred Qualifications: 1) evidence of clinical experience/interest in clinical service; 2) experience/interest in education; 3) evidence of Rheumatology publications; 4) demonstration of excellent teaching ability; 5) experience or recognition of the rheumatologic needs of the diverse State of New Mexico and the rural Southwest; 6) evidence of experience in research in Rheumatology; and 7) a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities. This position may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.
