Academic Rheumatologist
The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join our Division of Rheumatology. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of rheumatology in a collaborative, academically focused environment.
Position details:
- Outpatient rheumatology practice with a broad range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions
- Inpatient consult service responsibilities
- Participation in multidisciplinary clinics and care models
- Exposure to complex and diverse rheumatologic diseases
- Robust academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
- Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research
- Collaborative care model with APPs, nurses, and support staff
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in rheumatologic disease management
- Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
- Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
