Join a community-focused health system in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York and take the lead in establishing a much-needed Rheumatology service. This role offers the rare opportunity to build a program around your clinical interests, supported by strong hospital resources, immediate referral demand, and a flexible outpatient practice model designed for long-term balance.
Practice Details
- Outpatient rheumatology practice with the opportunity to lead and develop a new service line
- Immediate referrals from local primary care and orthopedic providers
- Physician-led environment with strong hospital partnership and campus investment
- Access to on-site imaging, including DEXA, CT, and MRI, plus full lab services
- Collaborative network with regional academic partners
Schedule
- Flexible outpatient schedule with part-time or full-time options
- Choice of four-day weeks, four-and-a-half-day schedules, or four nine-hour days
- Practice structure designed to support sustainability and autonomy
Compensation & Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary of $325,000 with wRVU incentives supporting $400,000+ total compensation
- Medical directorship stipend of $25,000-$50,000
- Signing bonus and relocation assistance available
- Eligibility for up to $60,000 in DANY loan forgiveness
- Full benefits, including malpractice with tail, health coverage, four weeks PTO, seven holidays, CME allowance, and a 403(b) with 5% employer match
Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Rheumatology
- MD or DO; open to U.S. and international graduates
- H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
- Interest in building a long-term, patient-centered practice
