Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner specializing in Rheumatology to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with complex patient assessments, medication management, and advanced procedures related to rheumatologic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring
- Manage and coordinate treatment plans for patients with rheumatologic conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills such as joint injections and IV infusions
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, and other diagnostic tools
- Document all patient interactions accurately within eClinicalWorks
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
Skills
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner license in New York
- Valid DEA license (or willingness to obtain one)
- Fluency in Spanish
- Proficiency in performing advanced procedures including joint injections (e.g., spinal tap), dermal fillers, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to pain management, immunosuppressants, biologics, and other rheumatologic medications
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to rheumatologic conditions
