Rheumatology Physician (MD/DO) - UNC Rheumatology at Clayton and Smithfield
UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG) and UNC Specialty Care at Smithfield (Rheumatology and Neurology), located in Smithfield, North Carolina, are seeking an MD/DO, BC/BE Rheumatology Physician to join their group full-time. This position will see patients at the Smithfield and Clayton locations. In partnership with UNC Health Johnston, our mission is to provide compassionate, cost-effective, and high-quality care to every patient.
Responsibilities:
- No Required Call
- Minimal calls from office patients; calls triaged through Healthlink
- Position will be based in Smithfield, NC
- No APP Supervision
- Existing and Growing Primary Care Sites
- Open to new grads!
Compensation:

Requirements:
- MD or DO required.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Rheumatology.

Education Requirements:
• Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Board Certified Rheumatology
• DEA;ACLS;MD
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
• Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.
REASONING ABILITY
High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
